We’ve been busy this year, from small updates around camp to large-scale projects – not to mention raising young families and enjoying the change of seasons through the eyes of children and babies.
The Great Blizzard of ‘24!
While our winter started out mild and slow, we did finally see a few good snow storms! We’re on target to have another green summer with a creek flowing through the season.
A Growing Family, A Growing Team
Chip and Jody’s eldest and youngest daughters welcomed new little ones in 2023! That brings them to a total of 6 grands. What’s more: eldest daughter, Sarah Joy, and family have recently moved to the ranch! They have always dreamed of raising their family close to nature, where they can teach them the benefits of living in relationship with the land. They will assist us on projects related to the garden, grounds, and agricultural side of the ranch – in addition to personal pursuits of their own. We are excited to see what their future holds!
A New Home For Arts & Crafts and Ceramics!
We have moved two activities! Campers have an idyllic new setting to look forward to for their crafting and sculpting this summer. While it is still in process, two complimentary shed buildings, a patio landing area complete with picnic tables and shade, a hand washing station, not to mention all new materials (including a new kiln!) will round out the space.
Garden Expansion
Chip, Sarah Joy, and Isaac have been hard at work expanding the garden. Their goal is to someday produce enough vegetables to contribute to the camp salad bar, among other things. For this summer, we look forward to seeing how the garden will be integrated with our existing Small Animal Care/Ranch activity, affording campers the opportunity to observe and help in the garden.
Improved Activity Storage Space
Tennis & Court games and Fencing are getting brand new storage sheds to better assist organization and upkeep of equipment.
Spring means… Summer Is Just Around the Corner!
While our camp waitlists have started, and some sessions are at max capacity, it’s never too late to sign up! We still have spaces left for select ages and dates. Remember, we offer 10% off for referring new families to camp!
